Kanie is a visionary leader. She helped pioneer the application of knowledge and skills in marketing and public relationship gained from her 10 years’ working with the commercial sector to her work in Oxfam Hong Kong. She became the Director of Fundraising and Communications of the organization in 2013.
In 2015, she was appointed CEO of Plan International Hong Kong, one of the leading international development organizations that is committed to fulfilling children’s rights and ending poverty worldwide. With Kanie’s leadership and profound experiences in business and charity sector, scope of works of Plan was greatly expanded with doubled charity income in just 5 years. Kanie also puts lots of effort in enhancing local children’s rights. She takes the lead role to advocate for child abuse prevention child participation in Hong Kong. In the long run, Kanie looks forward to building Hong Kong a Child Safeguarding City, where provides a safe environment for healthy growth of every child and youth, through joint effort of stakeholders from different sectors.
Kanie has made significant contributions to the NGO sector in both Hong Kong and Mainland China by offering fundraising trainings and sharing of development issues. With her contribution, Kanie was awarded as one of the awardees in the Second Global Outstanding Young Leader Award organised by YaZhou Zhoukan in 2017
