Dr David Ng received his Doctor of Business Administration degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in 1999 and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 2010. He was employed as Senior Programme Manager for the MBA programme of PolyU. Apart from teaching, act as Liaison officer for the Professional Mentorship Program.

Dr Ng has been engaged in the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) field since 1998. From 2004, he is a registered TCM doctor. Mainly as family Doctor (中醫全科), with Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture. Also as a consultant for TCM medical chains. He was the Administrative Secretary for The Hong Kong Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioners Association (HKRCMP). Dr Ng was also the programme tutor for the Federation of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Alumni Association (FHKPUAA) TCM foundation course and TCM medicine course.

Enthusiastic in joining community services. Work as volunteers for many charity activities and provides free consultations to some Elderly Visiting Programs. Highly participative in alumni activities. Dr Ng is an Honorary Director of the HKRCMP. Since 2008, he has been providing voluntary consultation and various TCM-related lectures to members of the FHKPUAA. Currently act as the President of the FHKPUAA (2020 – 2021). Also serve as Council Member for the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for the year 2020 – 2021.
